For the most accurate results, enter your model number.

Cause 1Improper loading

Certain cookware like pots, pans, and non-stick items, as well as chef's knives and wood, crystal, and china dishware should not be used in a dishwasher as these can be damaged by the detergent and the high heat of the drying cycle. Also avoid rinsing dishware off too thoroughly before putting them into the dishwasher as this can result in etching of the dishes and glassware.

Cause 2Improper water supply temperature

Although using a higher water temperature will generally help clean and sanitize your dishes, in some cases it will cause more harm than good. Higher wash and rinse temperatures with hard water can leave an increased amount of mineral deposits on dishware and internal components.

Cause 3Wrong type or incorrect amount of detergent

Too much or the wrong type of detergent can be bad for your dishes. The amount of detergent needed depends on the hardness of the water and how dirty the dishes are. The harder the water the less soap is needed. Too much detergent will not rinse off the dishes and will start to corrode them. If your dishes are rinsed well before going into the dishwasher they will not need as much detergent to get them clean. Refer to your owner’s manual for the correct type and amount of detergent to use.?
