This water can eventually leak onto the floor. Check the defrost drain to determine if it is clogged or frozen. If the defrost drain is frozen, thaw the ice. In addition, flush the drain with hot water to ensure that it is clear of debris.
During the freezer’s defrost cycle, the defrost water exits through the defrost drain. Sometimes, the defrost water can freeze over the drain. If the defrost drain is clogged with ice, the defrost water will overflow the drain and leak from the bottom of the freezer. To thaw the ice inside the defrost drain, use a turkey baster and hot water to flush the drain. If your defrost drain freezes regularly, consider installing a drain heater to melt the ice.
The drain strap may have fallen off or deteriorated. Some freezers have a small copper or aluminum strap that attaches to the defrost heater and extends into the defrost drain. When the defrost heater turns on, heat is conducted through the drain strap to melt any ice that may have accumulated in the defrost drain. If the drain strap is defective, it will not be able to melt the ice, causing the defrost drain to frost over and condensation dripping off the evaporator to leak onto the floor. If your freezer doesnt have a drain strap, and your drain is freezing, one can usually be added.

A drain pan, located near the base of the freezer, is used to collect condensation after the freezer's evaporator coils have been defrosted. If the drain pan is cracked, water could be leaking on the floor below the appliance. Inspect the drain pan for damage and replace if necessary.
Chest freezers will usually have a drain hole and tube in the bottom to help remove any accumulated water when defrosting and cleaning out the freezer. If the cap on the tube is loose or missing, water can drip from the cap and tube. Make sure the cap is tight, Replace the cap if it is missing.
If the ice maker assembly is defective, water could be overflowing or leaking through the ice maker tray. Inspect the ice maker carefully to determine if it is the cause of the leak and replace the assembly is necessary.
If a freezer is leaking water outside the appliance, it's possible the door gasket is damaged. A door gasket that does not form a proper seal to the freezer frame will allow warm humid air to enter the freezer. This can create condensation which can then leak out the gap between the gasket and frame onto the floor. You should inspect the door gasket for any tears or twists and replace the gasket if necessary.
