Freezer Indicator Light Is Out? Freezer TroubleshootingConfirm the freezer is plugged in and there is power at the wall outlet. You can plug another small appliance into the outlet to confirm there is power. If there is no power, check the home circuit breakers or fuses. If the freezer is plugged into a circuit that has a ground fault interrupt, try resetting the outlet. Most manufacturers do not recommend using a ground fault outlet on a freezer.
The indicator light may have burned out. Before replacing the indicator light, check for broken wires or detached connections to the indicator light.
The user control and display board might be defective. However, this is rarely the case. First, check the indicator light to determine if it is burned out. If the indicator light is not burned out, but the light still doesn’t work, the user control and display board might need to be replaced.
