Briggs & Stratton Original Equipment 100005 4 Cycle Oil. (18oz Bottle) Briggs & Stratton Lawn Mower Oil is formulated for 4-cycle air-cooled engines. Don't overfill the crankcase when adding oil. Too much oil can damage the engine.

Carburetor fuel inlet needle. This needle can get stuck if fuel if left inside the carburetor for extended periods of time. Ethanol in the gasoline can cause it to turn into a varnish-like substance and cause the engine to not start.

Air filter. If the air filter is clogged or dirty, the engine might not start, might be hard to start, or might run roughly. This filter should be replaced periodically to ensure optimal engine performance.
